England can win the WC. But they fail to fire-up quickly. Unlike the Germany V$ Costa Rica, where Germany went all guns after their opponents, the England V$ Paraguay game was boring. England got one goal, that to all thanks to Carlos of Paraguay.
I don't think it is quite the start that England wanted. But nevertheless they won!

Dear RICHARD ,
As an Iranian Fan of England I believe that they can even win the cup but must have more self assurance.I think the team is the best after the great team of WorldCup 1990 In Italy.England is a young and energetic team and Captain Bekham a great leader in the pitch.
I pray for them and for Ronny to get well soon and also for Iranains in Group D.

Not really a good start, but the World Cup is a special competition, where it counts to win. Nevertheless, England will not reach the semi-finals.

no i dont agree. winning by a own goal from your opponent when u are one of the best sides in the wrld is not a positive way to start the world cup, u know what this all increases their dependence on rooney

I don't agree.they didn't score a goal Carlos Gamarra made the goal and England didn't made anything thrilling except the shoot of Lampard.

cmon guys.. england never was best in history and never gonna be best.. forget about 2006 but i bet they wont win any wc for next two decades

yeah they seem to be doing well so far, if they keep doing what they are doing then i think they will go far in the world cup
