This is not about the davinci code. I read the book it was great fiction. I grew up in the christain church and always wondered about censorship. We have censorship now, I'm sure we had it then too. I'm not asking this question to evangelicals. Just scholars and people who have studied this. Was their really a Knights Templar? Did they form the free masons? does the vatican really have 30 miles of shelves of documents in secracy? I have researched this on the internet, but do not know what to believe.

I really doubt you are going to find your answers here. There really WAS a Kinghts Templar, but answers about the Vatical's 30 miles of secret shelves will not be disclosed on the pages of yahoo answers. If that could happen, it would be general knowledge, and you wouldn't be asking the question.

As for the Freemasons, if you want to learn about our history, read the book "American Freemasons". It deals mostly with Masonry in America, but explains a bit about our history, as well as the history of other fraternal organizations.
