You could have a snapshot of the average numbers (max temp, min temp, rain) by month for Rennes if you check the link called "Caracteristiques climatiques" juste under the title "MON DEPARTEMENT" situated below the yellow map.

If you can read French, reading the whole page will give you additional details. You may also want to have an English version using an automatic translation service: http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.meteofrance.com%2FFR%2Fclimat%2Fdpt_tempsdumois.jsp%3FLIEUID%3DDEPT35&langpair=fr%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools
Note: the translation is quite interesting... Rennes is situated in Ille & Vilaine - that has been translated as Ille & Unpleasant! Vilaine is a river name! :-)

You can find a universal converter here: http://www.initium.demon.co.uk/converts/metimp.htm
The temperatures are at the bottom of the page. It also converts distances, surface, weight...

This site has a chart for Brest, which is also in Brittany and has essentially the same weather as Rennes. It shows the average number of rainy days, average monthly rainfall, hours of daily sunshine/rainfall, and gives other information as well.
