depends on your sister. she will probably be well taken care of and a lot of women would prefer that over any deep relationship. women do want "security" to feel comfortable in a relationship.

the guy has been in school for a whole 8 years longer than most people so he is probably emotionally 8 to 10 years younger anyway.

he gets a trophy wife and she gets the much sought after "security".

My husband is 10 years older than me. No it is not a problem. With only 9 years I don't think that she will have to make any adjustments different than any one else that gets married. Don't worry, if they love each other, they will be happy.

Their ages make little difference if she's willing to make some adjustments. He'll likely have to make some too to accommodate her "wavelengths," among other things. What makes the difference is first how much she loves him, and second how mature she is at this point. It sounds as if she has a ways to go to be mature enough to handle it all, but if she loves her doctor, she will gain that needed maturity.

I honestly believe it depends on the couple. My aunt and uncle are ten years apart and their marriage is wonderful. My dad just married someone who is nearly half his age.

It all depends on the feelings. But 9 years really isn't that bad with the big age differences in the world today.

me and my ex were 8 years apart and that question came up alot. but thats got nothing to do with the dynamics of two individuals unless you want to. It can be used as nice excuse to add to the list of all the reasons we dont get along.age is just a number

My grandparents were married for 60 years before my granmother past away and she was 10 years younger than my grandfather. Love , laughter and patience is all that matters.

Who knows? My mother and father were ten years apart and they spent most of their married life apart. However, I have known people who are extremely happy with their commitment. Just as any marriage, this cannot be predicted. Try it if love is strong.

uhm...i would have thought this is something that they would have already discussed seeing as they're getting married. But no 9 years difference should not make a difference as long as they're compatible, love and respect each other.

absolutely not, love can't be stopped just because of age differences, just make sure they both are really in love
