I think it's an okay car. I have one. It's not the best car, but it's not the worse (or maybe i'm wrong. I don't know). It was my first car.

I personally think they were good cars (1995-2000) in terms of reliability and gas mileage ONLY. You do not purchase a Honda (except for the S2000, and a Civic SI with a LSD) for performance. People who purchase Honda's either know a hell of a lot about cars or don't know jack, there is no middle ground. Thats the only reason they are such widely popular cars, huge aftermarket, easily tuned and upgraded, but still require very little maintenance if left in stock form. I personally think today's Hondas are simply overpriced Hyundais.**

**If you want to argue that statement check out some recent reliability ratings of Hyundai, future cars, warranty, and power specifications. I do not own a Hyundai, nor will I ever own a Hyundai, or a Honda (again).

LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are very reliable and have a high resale value. I just bought a Honda Pilot (SUV) today. It is a V6 with plenty of power to go up mountain roads and to tow 5,000 lb. I had a Honda Civic in the past and it was great on gas mileage. Consumer Reports rates the Honda's as a "Good Bet", except for the Insight and the Passport models. I can't give you a link for Consumer Reports because I haven't joined the website.

Its good my husband owns his Honda Civic HX. Its pretty cool suped up too. I think thats why he likes honda's because they are so easy to modify them as well as other make cars but I'd prefer to modify a honda over any other car. Besides there is always a market for buying honda's a modifying them to either race or put them in shows too.

I work on my own cars and once I bought my first Honda, my tools started gathering dust. I maintain them very well but each and every one of them now has about 250,000 miles on them and they start easy and drive reliably. All get about 30 mpg too. I can't speak highly enough about Hondas and Acuras but I do recommend very heavily that you spend an extra $100 and get the service manuals associated with each model from Helms Inc. Having those manuals shows you each and every facet of the vehicle and how to do your own repairs right.

I have a 2000 Civic DX sedan its got about 93000 miles on it and I love it, a zippy little thing...I think it's fun to drive it's compact and comfy for me but I'm a little person. As far as it being a Honda goes I've always liked them I feel like I'm driving a little sports car and I've had very few problems with it...I've driven a few other cars before but nothing compares to the civic it also gets pretty good gas milage. I dunno it meets my needs and its a decent looking car so I'm happy with it.
