No, it's the smell that I pay more attention to. But then of course the container can be very eye-catching some times. It's just like the physical appearance of a person, but what's inside can be totally different from how it looks outside.

The packaging of a product really appeals to me. One drugstore chain near me has makeup from Finland that is packaged beautifully in silver and blue. The products aren't really that good but I still end up buying them when I'm tired.

It would have to be a pretty darn spectacular container or a dual use thing like the Jelly jars that are cups afterwards.

only my hair dye, other wise i think thats pretty shallow to buy for the color or prettiness of a container unless your giving it as a gift:ie a vase,canisters etc

Not really, but I have been attracted to some hair products but resist the urge unless I know it's good stuff because it's too expensive to just get it to waste.
