Because they assume the young audience (which are the only audience they care about) will be out doing things, not home watching TV.

The don't expect many people to be watching. Those that don't go out on a Saturday night are the type that watch Cops and America's most wanted. Those that don't watch those TV shows are usually watching some sporting event.

Because the only people watching TV on Saturday night are prisoners. And prisoners love to watch cops and root for the bad guys to get away. Every TV in the joint is tuned to cops right now.

HAHA to remind you to stay home and not go out and drink - and beat your brothers sisters girlfriends aunts kid - and steal a car and run from the police while your eating your weed so you dont get caught with it when they catch you after you wreck the stolen car into a tree and you try to run and the dog catches your A$$ and then they interview you and ask why you did all this and just didnt stay home and watch one of the 1980's season of COPS while your getting your butt cheek sewn up in the ER !!!

cuz everyone's out at dinner, mall, nightclub, or the movies on Saturday nights and FOX is successful at airing criminal-related programming on Saturday nights that earn high ratings.

I agree but don't know why. I guess they figure mostly everyone have some service like directtv and comcast where they premiere new movies every night. Tonight's a good premiere.

Haha, yea...saturdays were always shitty cable days. Sundays were awesome cable days. But I don't have cable anymore. I'd say, rent some movies, buy some popcorn, grab your blankie and get watching!

Cause they want to you watch that, become paranoid, go out, and be on a look out everytime somebody enters into your peripheral vision who might even slightly resemble one of the perps on the show... Yup, that's their plan.
