Dear Jeremiah,
Here in this tournament , 4:2 is the final result of the match and 2:1 is the the result of the first half of the game but generally when 2 teams play 2 times against each other in 2 matches(home & guest) 4:2 means the result of the second match and 2:1 means the result of first match.

4:2 is reduce to 2:1 in other words they reduced it they just divided by 2
