You should see a doctor. I'm thinking that a part of your brain has shut down, so you never feel full. If you're emotionally hurting, try talking to someone and let it out. Don't keep things in, because you're only hurting yourself.

Well as someone said earlier, you need to see a doctor. I would say a therapist too... just because sometimes obsession on food and cravings can be a sign of depression and that's not good, and even more frustrating when you can't stop the eating. (i went through that so i know). Second, you should find someone you like to workout win. Someone who will make sure you go and is fun to be around. Also, find an activity you like. For me it is water polo, but i have a friend who loves to hike. If you love doing it, it won't seem much like working out. It can be as simple as walking the dog. Once you start exercising regularly (which takes up eating time) you will find your body craves less and craves the right kinds of things. One last thing... don't ever get mad at yourself for eating something you "shouldn't" a little slip in a diet or exercise plan is only natural, and it does only harm to punish yourself because of it. Let me know if you have any questions about this

Part of your problem is probably psychological, but a big part of your problem is that you're not getting the nourishment you need from your food. Because of the kind of food you're eating, you are never satisfied and your body and mind drive you to eat more, trying to satisfy your need. The best thing for you to do is to start eating nothing but organic food and to stay as far away from foods with white flour and any kind of sugar as you can get. Seriously consider using a high protein regimen. It works and you'll feel full and satisfied after a rather short period of eating that way. Also, you'll find your energy will increase, and your emotions will even out and be much steadier. You won't be so inclined to depression and the blues as you probably are now.

well, first of all you're not a loser. stop calling yourself that. secondly, i've been in this situation before and know the way out. you mentioned that once you get bored, you stop. or once you get lazy or whatnot...well, the point is that once you get bored you have to force yourself to keep going. it's the only think you can do. think about how good you'll look when you have dealt with this. i'm still losing and have lost 40 pounds! i feel great.
as for the eating snacks all the time. i did that too, but solved it by replacing my old snacks with new ones. baby carrots, rice cakes and grapes, among others. either you'll eat THOSE snacks or you'll be so disgusted with the lack of chips and chocolate that you'll just not eat snacks! hehe
hope i helped!

I love food too! But try eating healthier snacks, I find that if I'm surrounded by healthy food I eat much healthier. Try to load up on stuff like whole grain cereal, chocolate skim milk, carrot sticks, baked chips, non-buttered popcorn, fruit juices, sorbets (low fat ice creams with no milk) and soya milk.
I've heard that if you eat small meals during the day and snack in-between it's totally healthy just make sure you limit yourself on fattening foods such as doughnuts, cakes and fried foods.
I strongly recommend that you see a doctor about your concerns though. He/she may be able to make some good recommendations considering your age, weight and health background.
I have the same trouble with going to the gym and excercising, I just can't stick to it. Instead, I compensate by making my everyday life into an excercise. Eg. I take the stairs instead of the escalator or elevator and I make that extra trip to the grocery store on foot instead of taking the car. Just compensate you know?
I hope this helps you!

it sounds like you are obsessed with sugar and fat, not real food. those types of foods will never satisfy you. i eat one or two servings of veggies or fruit with every meal. it makes the meal balanced and also fills you with fiber, which is natural bulk. go organic. stay away from refined foods and fried foods. give yourself some guidelines. once you stop eating the high calorie stuff, you wont crave it or obsess over it. i know its hard. i gained 10 pounds over the last year and im trying to get it off. working out and the right diet is doing wonders! dont call yourself a loser. losing weight is a long journey but its important to stay healthy and live life to its fullest. if you think you have an unhealthy relationship with food, dont be scared to talk to someone about it. im obsessed too, but its only cuz i want to lose weight. im not fat, but im not as thin as i was before and its really bothering me. so i decided to be healthy instead of starving myself into a size 2. maybe ill always be a size bigger than i want, but at least i am happy.

Sometimes, it is your body telling you that you are thirsty and you want water not food. So I try to sip on water, or other iced or even hot drinks. I drink hot tea 24/7 even in sweltering heat now. It really helps me control my intake of calories. Also, you have to understand, you are not an animal, and you can control what the hell you put in your face. I have to remind myself of this every minute of everyday. I am obsessed with food and want to plan every meal and what and when I am going to eat. And yes, I think that sometimes it is a form of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) especially when someone is as hardcore as you (we) are.
Seeing your healthcare professional may not be a half bad idea either. /grins. Good luck with that, and start your exercising again!!

I'm like that too, can eat a bog galaxy bar it one sitting. It's called binge eating and is control by emotion. Am on weightwatchers now and find simply switching foods help, i.e. eating low fat yoghurts. Also instead of eating 3 big meals a day try eating 6 small ones, this may decrease the need to binge!! x

Very often people snack so much because they don't eat properly. They often skip a meal, or just eat junk.....
You should have three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, supper) and then snacks in between.
You might want to try slow, instead of just stopping cold turkey, try to decrease the amount of junk snack you eat and replace with something healthier (a fruit, yogurt, cereal....)
You're not a loser. You just need to believe you can do this. It takes time but eventually your body won't be counting so much on the excess sugar....

It sounds like you might have an impulse control problem or could be suffering from some depression, which impulse control problems can be a part of. I would suggest you see a physiciatrist, not a psychologist, reason is because there could be something medical going on that is causing this not just emotional.
Oh and btw, bad eating habits and craving bad foods is also psychological, medical, or emotional .. its rarely if ever anything else.

Don’t hate yourself; you just use food as a way to pass time when you are bored, lonely, or tired. Might I suggest every time you feel the urge to eat unhealthy foods, you resist the temptation and eat an apple or an orange, chew a piece of gum and drink water or juice, even milk all liquids are great fillers.
Good luck!
