why can they not show them selves to others?what is there reason ?

It is called a Hijab and it is their religious belief. It's not a choice for them in their culture. They will be killed if they do not obey the Quran, which is the Muslim equivalent to the Christian Bible. It states:
In the Quran:
" And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display theri beauty adn ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof, that they should draw their veils over their bosoms aand not display their beauty except to their husbands, fathers, husbands' fathers, sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women or the slaves whom their right hand possess or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sence of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! Turn ye all together towards Allah(S.W.T) that ye may attain Bliss (Surah 24:31)

It is because, due to the evolutionary psychology of the environment of the region, the males have evolved a dominant egotistical temperament. Therefore, they desire to dominate their women by not letting any other man enjoy her beauty. Dominance is an inherently self-righteous emotion, which is why Mohammed wrote the policy into the koran. It is not religion though, just barbaric instincts masquerading as a 'moral code', which is the opposite of what it is. The moral thing to do is to restrain one's society-damaging desire for dominance.

Islam tells the women to cover their body to avoid considering them a sexual object. They can only reveal their full beauty to their husbands.
In some countries people take this rule less strict, and they wear normal clothes and only cover their hair.
Also, men must cover themselves too, although not that much.

u mean hijabs?its because of the muslim faith. if u notice in the old testament of the bible (or the quran) the women covered themselves. a reason is because they dont want the women to be looked at by the men. wearing the hijabs is also a sign of purity. they can take the hijabs off but they can only take them off around their CLOSE family. because if they dont wear it in public they are no longer considered pure.

Because the husbands and Religion demand it. They have to cover their bodies for the same reason

Because mostly the women are muslim and the muslims think that it's not right to look at a woman's face before marraige.And I think it's so that they can be safer.

Becuse they are slaves to their men. The men make them cover themselves so that other men can not see them .while the same men screws around.

i've been told to protect their modesty and to keep men from lusting after them. seems pretty d@mn sad that a woman has to suffer because a male can't control himself.

hmmm is it to preserve their modesty? Or just beliefs that only members of their own family can see their entire faces.
