Yes! I don't know what anybody else is thinking, but I don't think they are trying to be nice to you. Maybe you should reconsider who you are sleeping around with.... work is not the best place to be meeting people for relationships like that.

Cheers!

I`m sure work is really not the place to be known as a sex pot.. Not good for your work image. No one will take you serious..

because i . . .what? What goes in the blank? a verb? an adjective?

Technically speaking, the definition of sexpot is "a woman considered to have sex appeal" (Eva Longoria for example), but I'm guessing most of your co-workers aren't looking up the definition before calling you that. Even if they are, it's inappropriate for people in th workplace to be commenting on how sexy you are or aren't.

If they are using "sexpot" to comment on your behavior, rumored or actual, to suggest that you sleep around, are a sl.u.t, sleep with co-workers, then that's definitely an insult.

I guess it's not an insult, but I would lose a lot of respect for my co-workers if this is how they thought of me!
I would want to be known around the workplace as hard-working, dependable, smart...unless you work at a strip joint, I guess.

It is illegal for anyone at your work place to make references to your sex, orientation, etc. It is called sexual harassment and you should tell whoever is calling you a sexpot to stop or you will report them. Keep documentation, name, date, time and what they said. If it's a superior who is saying it, go to their supervisor and report them. Check with the ACLU etc. And by all means, don't act like you like it, keep your sexual exploits to yourself, don't laugh at them when they call you that. Show them you are not to be messed with and it has to stop now. It's disrespectful and like I said, illegal.

Sexiness should be for outside of the office. I don't respect women who use it as a tool or as a means to draw attention to themselves.

It depends on where you work, if you work in the "Phone actress" business then it's a complement. If you work in data entry it could be a slur.
