Polygamy is illegal in most industrialized nations today, but IF it was legal, do you want to have more than 1 wife at the same time? Or, are you a 1-woman man, and personally feel that having multiple mates is wrong somehow, and why?

(Serious answers only please).

You are going to think this is not a serious answer at first, but give it some thought.

No, a man should not have two wives, because one is trouble enough. More than one and he'd be outnumbered.

(The serious point: it would be almost impossible to have a stable relationship that way.)

I favor having the right to polygamy. The religious writings of the jews and christians both specifically allow marrying multiple women, and forgids divorce, yet in Utah, to this day, polygamy is specifically banned, as it is in many other states. By banning polygamy, the US government is placing an unnecessary limitation on religious freedom, yet at the same time we are considering allowing gay marriages, and people claim that this would erode the very foundation of marriage? Hello, the foundation of marriage is a religious right, which from the very beginning allowed multiple partners.

There are other religions which require women to marry multiple men, and these too are illegal in the US.

Worse, there is a double standard for foreigners who enter the country. Someone who has married multiple partners in another country is allowed to retain their wives or husbands, but even if a US Citizen goes to these countries, and gets a legal polygamous marriage, it is void when he returns to the US. What exactly is the government afraid of?

As for me, I'm not sure I even have enough game to get one woman to marry, and Indeed, I wouldn't be able to handle more than that, it just bothers me that I'm not allowed to try.

Yes I do. Actually, God created men with the need for more than one wife. All heavenly religions including Islam allow polygamy for men only. God made women submissive to men; women cannot overcome men. Men like kings and women like ministers. In communities where polygamy is a practice, both men and women are good citizens in several aspects and in term that they do not have illicit relationships.Their families are secured against sextual diseases that others transmit to thier wives and families. But man today revolts against God's laws and revolts against polygamy. As a results men are dating several women behind thier wives' back and women too are dating several men. both became adulterous wicked and unfaithful. And as a result sextual diseases spread and moral values are lost. If women are given the right by God to be polygamous, they will do their best to keep it and practise it under the so-called "women rights".Therefore, men must get back to God's teaching and enjoy life like lions again.

It's only natural and right to live this way. If I am successful and I can support more than one wife and a bunch of kids, I should be able to do it.

There is nothing in the Bible or the constitution to tell me that I can't have more than one wife.
