If u r using yahoo toolbar bring the pop blocker icon on ur toolbar. To bring the icon, click the pencil, select toolbar options and check the box of pop up blocker and press ok. If u dont hv yahoo toolbar, visit http://toolbar.yahoo.com to download and install it on ur pc.

Use free version of Zone Alarm which will automatically block pop-ups. The latest XP Home Edition SP2 version already has a popup blocking firewall feature.
Otherwise install separate pop-up blocker.
