We humans are the ones who invented beginnings and endings because it is convenient and because we cannot conceive of a non-time universe. When you start thinking about God in terms of beginnings and endings you have already limited Him too much for Him to be God. God always was and always will be. It's like if you traveled a zillion gazillion miles out into the universe and you hit a brick wall. What would be on the other side of those bricks? A zillion gazillion miles of bricks or a zillion gazillion or more miles of space? God is even more infinite than that because He is not bounded by time or space like the brick wall or space itself.

Well, if you ask a religious fundamentalist, God is eternal, immortal, and the creator of time, space, and the universe, he has no beginning, no end, and he planned out you, me and everything at the instant he created the universe. Depending on the religion of the fundamentalist, you might also get executed for asking such an offensive question.

If you ask a profoundly smart atheist, then God is just a word, but the idea of God probably was formed some time in the stone age, and was probably based on the concept of a powerful leader who got knocked unconscious, and came back to kill whoever did it. When this powerful leader finally died, people would be uncertain that he had died, and would continue trying to keep him happy, in case he came back. By this theory, "God" created himself by being one bad Mo'Fo,' and it happened some 200-15 million years ago.

Both of these answers have in common the fact that God made himself, he was in the image of a human, and it happend a really long time ago.

I believe that while God created the univese, humans were unable to recognize God until they had properly developed the concept.

Hello dear!
Primitive people not able to explain certain events, they were creating gods! They were considering god this and that! For example, they tell to him/ her, the primitive person, that he/ she were born under that tree. The tree was always there! The tree was protecting, bringing food, giving fruits, offering wood for their fire, and so on! Thus, the tree is a god. Similarly to the stream of water, which was always running, being available and offering its water, plus, animals were coming to drink water, thus ...brining food!
The time was passing, people got smarter and they explained about the tree, the stream, etc. Thus they named gods several groups of physical objects and events.
Eventually, in Greece, people started understanding all these and they involved sciences into divine concepts. Thus they considered the "space" dimensions (their creation) as their gods, so Gaea and Uranus were invented!
Later, they understood Time and thus they changed their gods, they brought into the "game" Cronos (in Greek Cronos = Time) and Rhea (Rhea = Changing, Developing).
Later (about 10,000 years ago, they understood that all Universe is Unique and they did not need the concepts of good and bad, right and wrong, up and down are according to our concepts, thus, they introduced Zeus (Zeus ~ Unity and simultaneously Division!).
Parallel, other nations never reached that high mentality, thus they need rules, consideration, etc. Thus religions in the East need and keep the many gods, expressions of everything. The Middle Eastern religions need the powers of the Wrong (Evil, Devil, etc.) thus they keep two "gods", the one of the good and the other of the "bad"!
Definitely, you, or anyone could ask (there are no wrong or bad questions), partake in dialogs and discussions, but do not let others to tell us what is right, since who are those to claim they know?

no one made god. my belief is that a very very long time ago a man or women was very bored and decided to write a story. many people believe what is written in that story. that book is called the bible. You will never know the answer to your question as everyone has a different idea on god, jesus etc

Well, I think there was a guy named Abraham and he had two sons and a neighbour who wrote things down apparently...then the family split into Islamics and Jews and still this neighbour wrote things down...then came Jesus and the neighbour was still alive writing things down...here we are now...no new God's have arrived on earth..wonder why? We aren't as gullible as we used to be...well, except for Jim Jones and Jim Baker.

The first people made God about 40,000 years ago.

Or maybe it was Abraham.

If you have no religious background to rely upon, why don't you take a few courses. You could simply ask a priest, rabbi, nun, etc...
