Do the world a favor and look at XHTML, instead of Flash. There's plenty of bad Flash sites on the Web, but not nearly enough good XHTML.

what's the concept of ur website? Just make your site simple but eye catchy... it doesn't have to have lots of animations... coz it will look overloaded or over designed... used colors that suite ur concept... like if it is for business ... dont use to much colors... 2 to 3 colors will do...
also try some tutorial site. like the actionscrips.org you can learn alot from that site...
