Your fuel sys. is loosing pressure. Usual causes are fuel pressure regulator which is on your fuel rail. There is a vacuum line attached to it. remove the line and see if fuel comes out. If it does it will need replacement. If no fuel then you need to put a vacuum pump on it and draw 15 inches of vac. If it holds it's ok. If it doesn't it is bad. One of your injectors may be leaking. Remove the rail but do not remove fuel lines. Have some one key the ignition to on. Not to crank. Just to on. The fuel pump will prime for two seconds. Do this two or three times while watching your injectors. If any injector leaks fuel even a drop it is bad and needs replacement. If the fuel reg. and injectors are ok than your fuel pump is allowing fuel to return to the tank on the prime side of the pump when engine is turned off. You will need to replace the pump. I do believe there is a access hole to the pump in the trunk under the mat. Hope I have been some help. Shawn

I'm not sure, but first you don't want to pump the pedal! Fuel injected cars start without any touch of the pedal.

the fuel rail is leaking on top of the engine. This is a common problem and not too expensive to fix. Hope I have been helpful

Try checking the fuel filter and then the fuel pump.

you going to need a tune-up it sound like you starting to lose spark and if you tapping the gas then you need to check the gas pressure and see if your injectors is working properly but if you did a tune -up check your (starter connection)

WONDER IF YOUR FUEL PUMP ISNT DOING ITS JOB. ALSO YOUR FUEL FILTER COULD BE CLOGGED. HAVE YOU LOST ANY POWER? IF YES I WOULD CHECK THOSE 2 PARTS
