After you have seperated the hen & the rooster, the rooster's semen will be inside her for 15 days, so she will produce fertilized eggs for those 15 days.

Now that's a very good question! I raise chickens and sell eggs and have never given it any thought. However, having butchered many many chickens, I can tell you that there seldom are more than three to five eggs developed enough to be considered eggs inside a hen's body at any one time. So, my guess is that motile sperm would not fertilize any more than that and, therefore, the hen's eggs probably won't be fertile after about the seventh day.

Well if your hens lay fertile eggs much after two weeks after your rooster dies, it means another rooster has gotten into the hen house.
