If you read my other questions you will see that I am doing a report on the history of Spaniards. I want to find out about the differences of the peoples of the different regions of Spain. Such as how do the people of one region differ from the people from other and so on. I also have heard that natives of the regions such as Galicia, Asturias, or Girona, Cataluna have a higher chance of having blonde hair and blue or green eyes. I have met a few older people from Galicia who had blue eyes and light hair. I have met some people from Andalucia with light skin and eyes but their families were originally from Galicia and Asturias. It is said that people native to Galicia have Celtic history which gives them light hair and eyes. Is this greatly exaggerated or is this true? Also what about people native to the Basque Country, do they look any different from other people of Spain? Thanks.

Hello dear!
Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal now-a-days!)!
What a rich History!
Well, tens and hundreds of thousands of years ago, there were people, whom we might call primitive, but they were advanced for their times!
About 10,000 - 13,000 years ago, they were attacked by the mighty Atlantis! They were freed by the Greeks, asking nothing in return. Later, there were many contacts between the people of Iberia and Greece. Many heroes went to Spain, including Hercules and many others. Around 3,000 - 2,600 years ago, there are many Greek colonies in Spain, founding cities and developing regions which till then were not habituated; the descendants of these people still live and remember in Spain.
Then, Gauls and Romans attacked and concorded Spain. Romans elaborated on the existing cities, establishing their sovereignty by keeping guards and tax officers!
Later, ~ 10 centuries ago we have massive attacks by Muslims. Thus, 6 - 7 centuries ago, we have Spain being full of people of different races, religions, ideas! Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc. Iberians, Arabs, Gauls, Romans, British, Africans, and so on!
In 1492, the Spanish King throws away the Jews (many remain showing changed identity). The same year, the well known Christopher Columbus, a dynamic, ambitious and knowledgeable person from Chios, Greece, leaves to re-discover America!
Are you interested for these?
Well, more can be found in Libraries and Internet!
Good luck!
