AVI is a video file format like Mpeg, or quicktime. u prolly need the divx codec. you can download it with the link below...

AVI is a form of video, however, there are many different codecs that are used for different video encodings. The most common AVI codec these days is DIVX http://www.divx.com . If that doesn't work, it's possible the video was encoded w/ a commercial encoder and if that's the case you may need to purchase the codec.

codec is a file that tells the player how to understand the movie file being played. That is a common problem. http://www.download.com has a lot of codec's.

you will need to download the codec. to make sure any other film formats are catered for as well, i recommend to download the "all in one codec" from the link below. This is how I fix my avi playing problems.
