It's cliche I now, but I think it's Tupac Shakur. His lyrics were not only used to entertain but some (not all) contained important messages to society and culture as a whole. It's hard to find that while listening to Ms. New Booty! However, Eminem has made some good political, societal statements in his raps. There's Mosh, and others that contain what he sees as important messages. I'm still sticking with Tupac though.

i love eminem and im considered older i guess for alot of the people that come to this sight i like some rap but his tells a story about his life and people close to him and i can relate to him and he is a cool white dude too.

Welll....to me it has to be Eminem becuz see...he expresses alot of his anger in his movie 8 mile. I love how he raps...cuz he brings all the anger out and he just raps along with the beat really quick.

Vanilla Ice..??! HAHAHAHA...well seriously i personally think MC Hammer was good... todays rappers rely a lot on hate, sex, drugs, and vulgarity to juice up their music...oh yeah, Kanye West is pretty gud too..
