What if I break my neck to help others ,but in return I am treated like dirt and with no respect. The more I try to help the worst I'm treated. What should I say or do?

Don't stop helping others because of how some ignorant people are treating you....Some one out there really appreciates your help and you will get some type of reward from helping people...So don't stop helping people if they say or do something to hurt you stop trying to help them and let the event happen to them... That's the only way they can see it.

I'm 55 years old and have been doing what your doing all those years. I would give someone the shirt of my back and said yes to many of things instead of saying no and all I did was be abused and never made any friends from it. I don't know the answer except that when people know your easy, they for some reason think in the end were a fool and don' t want to know us anymore or even appreciate what we did. I still haven't learned my lesson though and I still keep doing it.

I say you stop trying to live for others and start living for yourself. Now I'm not saying to completely forget about people and become some self-centered *****. What I'm saying is that you have to learn to look out for yourself first, then see how you can help others. There's nothing wrong with being a good caring person, so long as it doesn't take too much from you.

Jesus had to carry the cross too you know. We are no different. After all, that's who as human beings we all should strive to be like because we love him so. He got treated like crap, had to carry a cross to the mountain top, got stoned on the way there, crucified, and you know what he told the disciples at the last supper. This more inspirational to me than anything in the world these words here. He said, "No one has the power to take life from me, only I have the power to lay it down, and I bring it back whenever I want to." In Passion of the Christ, they were tired of beating him! He wore them out! His spirit and character was that strong! If you have Christ in your life and it sounds to me like you do. Let him be an inspiration to you to go further than you ever imagined possible regardless of any hardships you encounter in life, you have the spiritual strength to keep doing great things regardless of what they say or do to you. You are living for Christ and doing Christ's deeds...No one can stop you! I admire you're spiritual strength and that takes a whole lot of character that says a lot about you as a human being! Keep on Keeping On!

Helping others is really good thing dear, but at the same time dotn put ur selfrespect at risk. If u help them without expectation and still they treat u ill...........just show them u can b worst also. Its not like taking revange but showing ur worth.

And if u think that let them behave any how u wont change ur helping nature because of their rudness, and u continue to help others...................then just igonre how they r treating u.

There's a balance between helping others and allowing yourself to be a doormat. Set your own boundaries and standards and expect others to respect them. People will treat you the way you expect to be treated.

Doing for others should be a selfless act in which you expect nothing in return. Whether you are treated nicely or poorly by others should be immaterial. It is in how you perceive yourself afterwards that matters. If you achieve a feeling of joy, gladness or satisfaction from your efforts that is your reward.

you know what, some people are so (F+++)s that they don't deserve to be helped. how much you trying to help them they take it as granted and they don't give (S+++t) to you anymore. the worst part is when you like to help them, or you feel responsible to help them and take them out of the dirt they are in... but since they are in dirt they can't see the clean air.
I know what i said didn't help you.. but just wanted to share my own with you. it casue nothing but pain and a reason to regret of helping those (D+++Heads).

I didn't break my neck , i broke my heart, my ego, and my life for it. but whose there to understand it. it like writing in sand, when wind blows it washes away your writings.

Wish you luck and patient.

Just stop helping them. If they treat you like dirt for helping them just don't help them anymore. Maybe they'll realize what they've done wrong, apologize, and treat you better. But even if they don't eventually they will regret what they did when they need help and no one will help them.

Stay out, cuz even if you do help, what then? If they treat u like $hit then leave em alone. If they're ur friends or something tough luck but just stay out of it, cuz u mught help them even more if u dont help them at all ya know? Just leave it alone.
