These are just as cute as piercings but they're clip-ons, so no real danger:

Honestly, you REALLY shouldn't
But if you feel so inclined to do so:
http://www.cooltopics.net/piercebelly.html
AT LEAST make sure you have the proper supplies [such as a 14g needle and a clamp] and aren't just using a safety pin, which is made out of cheap metals and prettyy much does nothing except galvanize any forming infections.
Also, it's better NOT to clean with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. These chemicals continuously wear the wound raw and never allow it to fully heal, thus, you'd be battling the same infection/open wound til you take the piercing out and allow it to close.
It's better to use antibacterial soap, salt water, or buying ear piercing cleaner.
Try not to use Neosporin too often either. This kinda seals off the infection and the warm, dank, nasty environment you'd be using it in would do nothing but promote bacterial growth. Keep it's use to a minimum.
Also, NEVER EVER wash your piercing with dirty hands, make sure they're always clean. Twist the piercing around in the hole while cleaning, but don't take it out, especially within the first few days of piercing it, as it will probably close.
NOTE: I DO NOT suggest you do this and I'm merely giving you the best advice I can if you're that determined. Any infections/serious problems that occur would have been your purogative to go ahead an pierce yourself, not the fact that I gave you 'professional' piercing advice. [Which I did not.]

You need your parents if you are under 16 or 18. Don't do it yourself, let a professional do it. That's too close to your tummy and you don't want an icky infection.
Get it done at almost any peircing shop or a tattoo parlor. Make sure they are VERY clean (you can almost tell from just the inisde and the workers who do the work).
Ask ALL and ANY questions you have before you pay your money.
Make sure you know what to do after you get the peircing.
It shouldn't cost you any more than $50-$60 (if that), try to stay in that price range, you don't want a cheap peircing

Wow, I got mine done when I was 14, with my parent there. Mine got really bad infected ((i guess cause I have a dent in my stomach and sweat ran into the hole, i first got it done during softball season too)) so now I have a little bump on the inside of my belly button where the bottom of the piercing was. But they are really cute, I want to get mine re-done. Just do background info on the place you go to. Tattoo shops usually do it.

Don't- belly rings get more infected than any other area that is commonly pierced. Even when you get it done at a shop, it might get infected. If you do it yourself, it certainly will. Try to be a little more grown up and realize that it's not that important, and that you can wait until you can get it done in a shop by a qualified individual. Btw, when they do get infected it really hurts- your pants rub against it, it's red and oozing, smells and looks really gross. Not sexy at all!

I'm assuming you have already tried asking your parents, wearing them down, offering to pay for it yourself...
One option is to point out that you will be 18 in X of years (whatever X happens to be), and you will just get your belly button pierced then. Wouldn't they rather go with you, and make sure that everything is safe for their little girl?
Another is to go with a friend's parent or relitive who will sign the liability waiver for you.

DO NOT PIERCE IT YOURSELF. Many tattoo/piercing places will have parents sign a waiver allowing their child to get a tattoo or piercing. Call around and see if this is the case in your area. Good luck.

stop letting everyone freak you out. don't pierce anything at home except ears. go to a shop with an adult(relative). prove your 14+ and get it done. get body cleaner, don't use rubbing alcohol to clean it. peroxide is always good. take good care of it, it takes 6 months to heal completely. twist it every day. be careful on out door activities,or activities that cause a lot of motion, so it doesn't get ripped out

Ask your mom or dad. Don't do it yourself! It could get infected badly. If your parents are okay with it, have them help you check out a good place in your area. Make sure that their hygiene practices are good. If mom or dad say no, you'll probably have to wait until you are older, but at least you won't have an infection.
