What do you think will happen on the very last chapter? Did Hilde and Albert knox really think that Sophie and Alberto Knox is real? Or is it Sophie and Alberto Knox the people who were in control of Hilde? Or is it the author of the novel in control of our minds?

I mean I have already finish reading this novel, but I don't quite get the ending of the story. Hilde thought she knew Sophie was really there?

yes, i have... many years ago.
i opt for the latter... the author is in control of our minds, ha. you can interpret it any way you like it. imo, hilde considers sophie real enough because she reflects some parts of herself.
