we just lost our first game of our tournements and none of our players care! sould i tell them to try to pump their spirit next time? or should try to pump them up..... i just want to know what i should do because the girls that suck at playing just go there to be seen. i need help!

well since it was the first game and its the tournaments, and they don't care someone needs to give them a reason to want to win.Like the coach he needs to stop being so negitive and be more postitive even if u lost, he could have told the things you did wrong and try and help you correct them.Then maybe the team would care and have a reason to win.

Find a motivation for them to win. Perhaps it is dislike of the opponent. Find a phrase that makes your team want to bash the other team with bats but not bad enough they actually do it, just strong enough that they take out the aggression on the field.
If attention is what they want point out that winning brings them attention. Maybe even a blippet in a local paper. Let them know that you are going to try to promote the team's success if they win.
Some ideas, though in a competitive field the reality is often that you have to work hard long before the game starts to have a chance at that game. Months of preperation to play your best.

yes the answer is to pump up the spirit because my softball team was just like this this year and myself and another girl were the only good players no one cared about the game but after we hung out together after practices had pool parties and pumped up the spirit... things got so much better i suggest having activities and making up cheers and stuff with the team.........best of luck!!

you should definitely try to light a fire under their butts..maybe if they get more into the games they wont be as bad..im going through the same thing with my team good luck!

tell them they look better if they win, and losers just dont look good if thats why they're going to be seen. nobody respects losers if they dont care.
