I guess I would have to say my boyfriend since my dad is dead. But since I am married now I would not have a boyfriend either.

Maybe you just wanted to hear what the crazy people wanted to say?
:::::::::::::: BLOOD VS. WATER :::::::::::::
Blood is thicker than water, isn't it? You have an indefinite duty to give respect to your creators, which seem to be ya mother and father and any other spiritual being you associate your existence with. Relationships between lovers is a different love that is dependent on the actions of the other. If he starts beating you, runs off, doesn't feel the same mission, or anything that defeats his self control, then where does that leave you? You could leave them bad relations. But family has much more history. Im not saying your husband is a stranger, but don't you owe ya father one for banging ya mom to create you? lol got insurance? Take it easy and stay way from fishing trips!

If I was in a sinking boat and was choosen to help between my boyfriend or my father, I would indefinately choose my father. I love my boyfriend with all of my heart, and I wouldn't give him up for anything, he's my darling, my baby, my love. But to me, my father was the world, and speaking theoretically, if my father was still alive and I had to choose between the two, my father, my family, comes before all else.

In a sinking boat, I would immediately choose my father because he is a great man, he gives me what we needs and supplies us with not only the daily essentials but with love, laughter and friendship that we need. I know that not all fathers are good and sometimes they are strict and does not help you in life but you got to save him because he is your father, you have blood contact. Your boyfriend, meanwhile, can easily dump you and you don't have blood contact. It's what they all say: Blood is thicker than water...

P.S. You know, even if your father is useless, drinking, smoking, he's still your dad and your surname belongs to him. We should all learn to respect and love our parents because if it aren't for they.... we might not still be here...

Since I am a man, I'd have to pick my father, since there wouldn't be a boyfriend on the boat.

Hmmm, between my girlfriend or my father? Tough choice. I'd try to save them both or die trying, I'd feel guilt for the rest of my life if I let one of them drown.

Uhm, well, I'll say my husband, who was my boyfriend until recently, but if i was married and had a boyfriend, I'd let him go down with the ship, because I'd have been just looking for a way out anyway!!!
Seriously, though, my dad is no longer # 1 man in my life, and nature dictates that he is suppose to go before me, and I don't want to live with myself if I let my man die without my help. That's my job as his wife.

it would depend. boy friend if it was a really serious relationship/close to marriage, but father also because i definatly love him and will forever, and the boy friend might have an easier time out than your father if one is more agile.

Well prolly my father because he is older and my friend (if you are talking about Friendship Friend and not romance boyfriend) will prolly be able to handle his own.

My boyfriend, because my dad is a crazy abusive alcoholic. If it were between my boyfriend and my mom, though, I'd say my mom. I love my boyfriend, yes, but my mom has done so much for me... and besides, he can take care of himself.
