My Mum used to do it and she didn't get many customers an dthen she bought a whole lot of books and put a pamplet in it saying buy $50 or more and get a free gift and she gave them like free eye cream and stuff cos if u get 2 customers to buy $50 each u get profit and it worked.

My girlfriend sells Avon to women at a Parenting Community Centre where their children are playing in the daycare and they get a break for a couple of hours. Either they have signed up for programs or they are talking with other moms. She is also active there, but she leaves a book and moms leaf through and place orders...

Drop a catalog in every door in your area with a coupon attached for 10% off, if you do this for 2 or 3 promotions sales should increase. Talk to your regional leader, they may even cut you a deal on the cost of the catalogs.

fix your self up with the Avon make-up, make it look realy nice and spray some Avon prefume(that smells good) and go to stores and other places where there are alot of people. When someone says you look or smell great tell them about your Avon products...

See if you can get permission from some businesses to visit their cafeteria during lunch and meet with people there. You would have a captive audience....pass out the sales brochures and hopefully they will respond. Best of Luck...

If you've run out of contacts (work, family, etc), why not try visiting retirement communities, neighborhoods near you, or simply leaving the catalogs on your car with instructions to take one.

difinitely if you have a child or not, go to schools and hand some magazines out to some of their parents. and tell your friends and have them tell thier friends. also people at work or relatives would be good.

u could get ur friends to ask their friends and ask them to take it to thier work there are many ways to get more customers you could set up a table on th street its really up to u
