varies from one part of the country to another, but what I have seen from studying other countries is that Americans have it pretty darned good. the poor here are not as poor as those in many other countries. Live expectancy is higher then many other countries.

A Day in the life of me:

When college was still in session, I woke up about 10 AM, went to a couple of classes, came back around 1 pm and did some homework. I'd have something to eat and call a few friends. If someone wanted to hang out we would go see a movie or go to the park (there is nothing really to do in my town). I don't have a job because I get scholarships for school, so I dont go to work
Now that it is summer vacation I pretty much just go out with my friends, have people over, surf the internet and watch tv. I've got a job interview next week so that will probably change lol but for most middle class people in the usa life is laid back. A lot of people have to work hard but I guess I'm lucky

We are truely and sincerely blessed in this country--with all of our faults and failures---in spite of our arogance and differences--we seem to do quite well---we are not perfect but we don't like admitting it--we raise bloody thunder about our political situations but enjoy the best system in existence--we are use to the very best of everything but when the situation demands it--we can get by on very little--we can argue about almost anything and when we're confronted with trouble --can become best friends at the flash of lightning--we have our weaknesses but together our strength is unstopable---so --our life here is unbelievably rich and full--and alot of us believe that that is the way it should be elsewhere---this was not a day to day which may be what you were after here--but hopefully it will fill a couple of questions you have within what you have asked---------PEACE------------

Way too many taxes too pay. Almost half my paycheck goes to taxes...Federal/State/Medicare/Social Security...geez. Too much. And I see very little done with it. Probably because too much is spent on welfare and things like that...and too many people that take advantage of it. And too much spent on a war that shouldn't be going on...not the way that it is. And how it was done. But other than that...it's great.
