Day dreams come and fade away,
revealing the horrors of that day.
People don't have any morals,
they don't know what is important.
How could they know?

Chorus: A broken nail, a bad hair day,
and people think that that's a bad day.
For me it's different,
and people don't get it,
and then they tell me to move on!

How dare they?
They don't know me and they don't care.
People only care for their own worldly affairs.
People say that they know,
they say they understand,
but they don't.

Chorus

People say that problems arise,
but what problems do they know?
They don't know how it feels,
when everyone you love is gone.
They don't care, how could they?

Chorus

I come home with a failing grade,
and people act like the world has ended.
Nobody gets it and they try to gorget it,
they try to make me forget, too.
But I won't.

Chorus

I won't go,
I won't try,
people don't understand why I cry,
in my bed, late at night,
and they never will.

Because....

Chorus

But I won't.
Oh no I won't.

omg. I'm 13 ppl! give me a freaking break! i mean whoever gave me a 1 is just stupid. And its not freaking teenage problems. I lost my mom, my sister, and my nephew (he was unborn....i never got to meet him...he died w/ my sister) in 4 yrs! thats what the song was about! i was pissed cuz my friend in school was like "gosh emil! its been months since your sister died! get over it!" so yes i was pissed. gosh. and its true. u hear songs on the radio about forgetting to fill up on gas, breaking a heel or a nail, i mean and they're saying how aweful they're day is in the song! gosh. then u tell me MINE is juvenile? omfg u r so wrong.

i'm a songwriter too. i would give it a 8 only because the 4th verse about the failing grade, brought it down a bit, you should've walked around the grade part. instead say somethin like "i made a mistake and people act like the world has ended". i can here kelly clarkson singing it in that "since you've been gone" tone, melody.

I'd give it a 3, maybe. To be a good song, the lyrics have to mean something to the audience, and they have to be original enough that your song won't be confused with someone else's.

I realize that this is obviously a song about your issues, and that your issues are very real, but nobody wants to sing along to the problems of being a teenager. Think about it this way - if you heard this on the radio, what would you think?

I suggest you don't write so much about the "how dare they" aspect of your problems, but the emotional problems. Don't go right out and say what's wrong, but instead write about the feelings behind it. That way, anybody who hears it can apply it to their own lives.

Finally, it's a tiny bit repetitive. I understand songs tend to be like this (especially ones with a chorus), but it helps if you branch out a little.

Of course, this..ah..criticism is based upon the comparison of your song to the successful songs of true musicians.
