It's like sign language!
Just like holding up three fingers and relaxing the outside two!
Or making the O sign with your fingers instead of saying OKAY.
Great for people who have no tongue.
I went in for tongue removal surgery just last week, so I'd quit getting in trouble opening my mouth. So sign language works for me!

sort of. it can also apply to television and music in modern culture which assumes that people can only handle so much. like people don't want to think too deeply about anything.
