Just use an eye pencil that works with your skin tone, and line it half way around on the bottom and all the way across on the top, and then use clear mascara, i really like clear mascara because you can use a lot of it without it looking gunky. Put one coat on your lashes (after using an eye lash curler) let it dry for 5-10 seconds, then put another coat on. Also, make sure you coat the outer top edges, that makes your eyes open up and look bigger as well.

good luck

One could argue that the eyes are the most important feature of the face, since we tend to look at them the most. To make them stand out, follow the tips below.

Steps:
1. Use eyeliner only on the outer rim of the eyelids, not the inner rim.

2. Blend eyeliner with a cotton swab rather than leaving it as a harsh line.

3. Avoid drawing eyeliner on the inner corner of the lower lid; instead, start the line at the beginning of eyelash growth or even closer to the middle of the eye.

4. Use a light shade of eye shadow on the upper lid leading up to the brow, which will open up the eye. A darker color can be used in the fold of the eye.

5. Consider wearing false eyelashes to give your eyes a more wide-eyed, innocent look. Be sure to use natural-looking eyelashes.

6. Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler before applying mascara to give you the same effect as false eyelashes.

7. Try a black mascara if brown does not bring out your eyes enough.

from my experience, if its day time, avoid eyeshadow. if u have to use it dont color the whole eyelid, just put a light color (white) that reflects in the inside corner of ur eyes n sweep it down half of the length of the eyelid. then put a darker color on the outside portion of ur eyelid. eyeliner is the best thing to make ur eyes look bigger. but use a khol pencil, liquid eyeliner will just make ur eyes look smaller. take a good look at ur eyes n see how u want them to look b4 putting on eyeliner. its not good to give it the same thickness from the front of the eyelid to the back. u shud put a thin line on the inner corner n then progressively thicken the line(just a bit). i found the best trick would be to exagerate the eyes at the outer corner, this adds some length to ur eyes. also DONT use eyeliner on the bottom part of ur eye. its better to use a thin brush with eyeshadow thats not too dark (dark brown). i have very small eyes n the best thing is not to use eyeshadow. put a light color (off white) or no color at all, n then add the khol. dont forget to curl ur eyelashes n put a thick clean coat of mascara (rub the mascara into the base of ur lashes to make the eyeliner look natural). the best khol pencil i've found so far is from lancome. its waterproof too.

White or light blue eyeliner on the inside bottom lid. Liek this but not so dramatic: http://i.ivillage.com/marieclaire/beauty/skin/secrets/WhiteEyeliner_Model.gif

Here are some tips:
Step 9. White Eyeliner Pencil
The White Eyeliner Pencil brightens and lightens the eyes and adds a dramatic touch. Especially effective for an upscale look or for "day-to-evening."

Tools: A good metal sharpener for a sharp point to give a very fine line, Q-tip, if necessary.

Apply the White Eyeliner Pencil in a thin line outside your regular eyeliner, for a dramatic look or use inside your regular liner to brighten eyes.

Unless your eyelashes are naturally black (few peoples are, usually, brown or greyish, but not black black), don't use black mascara. Sable or dark brown will help bring out your eyes. I have recently been using dark brown mascara, and my eyes really look striking now. Also, when applying mascara, whipe the tip off with a tissue to get rid of extra mascara, and twirl the wand and you apply. this keeps it from clumping together.

Go to a department store and talk to the ladies at the makeup department. tell them you arn't looking for alot of makeup, just need some help in making your eyes look bigger-a different color of eyeshadow may help, or a new way of applying it. just like different kinds of bodies look best in different clothes, eyes all have different ways to look "good."

try a natural colored eyeliner -- the color of the liner will depend on your natural coloring. Try something that enhances your natural skin tone and eye color. Make sure u smudge so that the line looks natural. Go light on the mascara. If you have thick hair go for lengthening mascara not thickening. Dust your lids (with a brush) with neutral but lightly shimmering eye shadow, And get a good eyebrow arch. It make the eyes go bam.

Darlin, putting on too much makeup just covers up and detracts from your beautiful eyes. First off, when you apply dark eyeliner, DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT put any on your bottom eyelid. That only makes your eyes SMALLER! To make eyes bigger, put eyeliner only on the top. Then, get a WHITE eyeliner and apply it to the inside bottom eyelid. That will give you big, doe eyes. And the same rule applies to mascara. Only apply to the top lashes. Putting it on the itty bitty bottom lashes will make you eyes seem crowded. (and scary lookin) lol Take care suga

A lot of makeup will make them look smaller. Use a shimmery light pink highlighter under your eyebrow, and a light shimmery shadow on the lid. If you use liner, make it VERY thin and just use it at the base of your upper lashes...none on lower lid!! Curl your lashes and use a lengthening mascara.

Do not use eyeliner on the eye lids, this makes the eyes look squinty.Make your eye brows arched a bit to give your eyes more appeal, Where lighter colors of shade for your eyes. Also it would not hurt to add longer lashes to your eye lashes, this also will make your eyes stand out more.
