What do you think about the suicides at the Guantanamo Bay Prison?

It amazes me that they can take any human life they want to without a problem, but when it comes to taking responsibility for it they have to take the easy way out.

As for Porkchopsjar---For someone that hates America and those that are fighting for our freedoms and the freedom of others, you sure don't seem to have a problem with taking advantage of those rights. If you hate them (soldiers) so much, stop practicing your right (the right that these soldiers are protecting for YOU!) of free speach. You should live under the dictatorship that you so desperately want---so MOVE AWAY. You have nothing good to say about America (I saw you mouthing off in another question the other day) so you need to go to the Taliban website so that you will be more comfortable, you seem to share the same ideas!

I think if I were thrown into a military prison camp in Cuba, with no charges, no right to a trial, no visitation, no mail, and continual interrogations, I would be pretty fed up with life after a few years too. They've been there longer than WWII Jews were in the concentration camps.

The same way I feel about the "suicides"at the hotels in Jordan, the same way I feel about the almost daily "suicide" bombings around the globe. If someone genuinely wants to die, by strapping on bombs and blowing themselves up, and those around them, there's very little that can be done to stop them. If someone, anywhere, really wants to kill them selves, they will. To apply a greater cause to essentially, what is a narcissistic, nihilistic act, is an affront to Islam, and any other religion or ideal ,they presume to represent.

Their personal choice. The catering to them hand over fist like we have been doing is rediculous. They would not get it nearly as good if they were rotting in a jail in the Middle East, but that would not be newsworthy. If a Koran is taken to be searched by the USA, on the other hand, that is "inhumane" --- BS!!! Hand them the rope to hang themselves with and sit back and see if they will do it. Each one who does saves the American taxpayer more than $50,000 per year!!! So go on your hunger strikes and suicidal hangings --- save me money.

I think the people there are there for a reason and "innocence" isn't one of them. If they want to have a hunger strike I support it, the way hundreds of homeless and fatherless are going hungry in their countries due to their terrorists actions...
