I'm a school band director.
Third interviews are usually not even called "interviews," .....as a matter of fact, I'm surprised to hear the term. Its ok to get your hopes up, but NEVER assume you have the job, that is, until you have a contract in your hand. Even if someone tells you they'll hire you, they can always go back on it WITHOUT TELLING YOU. It happened to me.
Hope this helps.

A third interview is a good infdicator that they are interested in you. However, you cannot assume anything...you don't have the job until it is offered and you accept.
Good luck...I hope you get the position.

In teaching, rarely do they even have 2nd interviews...usually they will know after the first. Strange, 3rd interview, but probably you will be offered the job, but be prepared for anything.

Usually, but sometimes it means your future employer simply can't make a decision, or that the executives are micromanagers.
