I would get a short term degree or go through some type of certification process. Real Estate is a good example, quick and easy to get into and you can make as much money as someone with a four year degree.

I had a job as a secretary for an oil company and I saw that if you knew how to analyse the oil & gas lease, you made a lot more money. So I took some special training in the evening. I found a company in the newspaper that offered training in lease analysis. I worked during the day as a secretary and went to class at night and learned about the leases.

Within 2 years, I went from making 800 a month to 600 a week. It is a very specialized field, but does not require a college degree at most oil companies.

I'm retired now on a good pension and I'm 54 years old. Try to find something available that you can go to night school for. You don't need a degree to make good money. Good Luck!...)(

I wish I would have went to college. My advice is go to college or get training (vo-tech) in a specific field. There are good jobs out there that don't require a degree, but they are harder to find and harder to get because so many compete for them. A few are:

Sales (many different types)
Route delivery
Construction
Secretary
Customer Service
Post Office
Assembly line (at some factories)
Military

I can't really think of any more. Not any with decent pay. Alot of places, you can start at the bottom and work your way up. As in to Management or some other position that doesn't require a degree, but requires a good knowledge of the business you work for and it's procedures.

I still suggest school. Any type of school to better your chances. Even a tech school or real estate.

Sales can be profitable, but you have to hustle, work hard, and be a people person.

Also I'd recommend finding a company that promotes from within. Some call centers, for example, promote the best call agents to supervisors, and the best supervisors to managers, and the best managers to directors, and so on. Same with sales - good reps become managers, and so on. You don't want a job that "requires" a college degree to advance.

You've got to think long-term. You won't start out at the top, but you want a place that doesn't prevent you from moving up if you're good.

N-2 is right, you need some higher education.

If it was easy to find a good job without a degree then everyone would do it. Take the time to get your degree.

It used to be that the minimum hurdle for a good job was a high school diploma. No more, no it's the college degree.

Your very use of the word "advices" shows you need to go for a higher education. It is the best thing you could do for yourself.

Choose well and good luck.
