Mango is a fruit to a man - while to a woman it is both a fruit and a color (shade) of orange.

Blue and green are also colors to man - while teal, turquoise, etc. are not.

what can I say - women's crayon boxes were bigger and better!!!

There is some research that suggests women carry a gene that makes them more sensitive to color than men. But in any case the number of colors human beings, men or women, can perceive is in the millions, not thousands. Certainly more than eight.

Men see just as many colors as women. We just don't have the time, patience or need to split colors like pink into Cerise, Salmon and Peach. Pink is pink red is red blue is blue. Men are straight forward with their communications. Women are twice around the block and once through the park.
It's not that we don't hear you or look like we don't care. It's just that women give us way too much information and detail.
But we still love you.
