I wanna go to my friends house for the night but 'its too late, what are you going to do, go there, put ur pj's on and sleep?'.... It may be ten, but we'd spend the next five hours watching movies and having fun...

parents realize that you sometimes you don't really sleep during sleepovers but thats been the word for as long as i could remember... being used to the word i guess people still use it even if you don't sleep.

No offense. But the difference between being young and old is this. When your young, you hate having to go to sleep. When your old, you can't wait to get to sleep (take a nap...whatever).

They might just be afraid of what you'd do if you stayed awake, like call boys or something. Give them as many details as you can so they know you are gonna behave.

Why don't you explain that to your parents? I'm sure that once they fully understood the situation, they would come around.
