The Noda (North Davidson) area sponsors a gallery crawl twice a month, among other things. One is coming up this Friday if you're interested. You can tour all of the different art galleries for free which is pretty neat (and inexpensive). Their website is http://www.noda.org and there are lots of fun restaurants in that area too.
If you're even a little bit interested in swing dancing, check out http://www.charlotteswingdance.org They have an event coming up this Saturday. It's a lot of fun if you can go with a group, but you'll be just fine with a friend or two. They give lessons at first and dance for a few hours after. It doesn't cost much and you get a great workout :-)
Something else to look at is the town of Matthews. They hold weekly events at Stumptown Park whether it be a movie or a festival of some sort. These usually are more directed at kids but there are other things to do for adults too. Isn't there a famous raceway there? Also a well known
amusement park and I also thought that on tv where they show
the states where there are mining for gems and treasures , I
thought I saw something like that near there. Call the states
tourist bureau and check out the hotel desks - they usually will have flyers with things to do and see while in that city. I went
there twice .

well you have several nite clubs...Have a Nice Day Cafe, Bar Charlotte..there is Carowinds (theme park), Charlotte Knights baseball, Charlotte Bobcats basketball, all sorts of things to do
