I'm listening to "Terrapin Station" by the Grateful Dead as I'm typing.

I'm a 'newbie' to the Dead. I never really got into them when I was younger. But now that I'm getting to be an 'old man', I started listening to them a few months ago and now I'm hooked. Its a shame I didn't get into them earlier. I would love to have seen them in concert. Here's the words to 'Terrapin Station':

Inspiration, move me brightly. light the song with sense and color;
Hold away despair, more than this I will not ask.
Faced with mysteries dark and vast, statements just seem vain at last.
Some rise, some fall, some climb, to get to terrapin.

Counting stars by candlelight, all are dim but one is bright;
The spiral light of venus, rising first and shining best,
On, from the northwest corner, of a brand new crescent moon,
While crickets and cicadas sing, a rare and different tune,
Terrapin station.

In the shadow of the moon, terrapin station.
And I know well get there soon, terrapin station.
I cant figure out, terrapin, if its the end or beginning, terrapin,
But the trains put its brakes on, terrapin,
And the whistle is screaming, terrapin.

wow! it don't get no better than that! its about 16 minutes long, so take your time to listen to it. have fun!

It's a old song. It's pretty long.....
Thought I'd come up with something old you may have not ever heard.
