I wouldn't. I believe abortion needs to be legal but it's nothing I would do myself.

Never an easy choice-if you're with the love of your life why would you want an abortion? There may be many reasons a woman wouldn't want to have a child.
For nighthawk and others-I've never been pregnant but my mother got pregnant both with me AND my brother while on the pill-neither time was she drunk. The only foolproof birth control is abstinance-and I'm pretty sure my dad wouldn't have gone for that.

In the case of rape, I would feel very inclined to abort a pregnancy...especially at my age of 46, and being a divorced parent. I have a lot of responsibility raising my children now and it would require a great deal of sacrifice from them and myself to bring another child into the world. This would be the only instance where I would consider an abortion for myself at this stage in my life.

I believe it is the woman's choice of course because it is her body. I personally would not do it myself because it's against my religion. But If I got raped, or my life was in danger because of a pregnancy then I would get a abortion under those circumstances.

I believe a woman who is raped should have the option of getting an abortion.
I believe a woman whose life is threatened by the pregnancy should have the option of getting an abortion.
I believe a child pregnant because of incest, or stepfather, should have the option of getting an abortion.
Unfortunately, to leave the option open for the three cases I have mentioned also leaves it open for women too lazy to use protection to use abortion as a form of birth control.

The older I get, the less likely it would be for me to get one. In extreme situations, I think I could (i.e. rape), but I don't think I could if it was just "inconvenient". I'm thirty, divorced, and working my way out of debt and I still don't think I could get an abortion. I'm in love again, he may not be the love of my life, but I don't think I could kill his baby either.
However, I do remain pro choice no matter my personal feelings on the subject. The bottom line has always been; if you don't like abortion, don't get one. Don't start making laws, we don't want women skewering themselves with wire hangers or knitting needles again.

I think it's the woman's right to choose but I wouldn't have an abortion personally unless it was rape or life-threatening.

Women who want abortions are the ones who get drunk and knocked up. Sound familiar?

I wouldn't make that choice for myself but would not deny it to others.
