In the US there is an election every 2 years. The next one is in November.

House of Representatives: 2 year terms, every Rep is up for re-election.

Senate: 6 year terms, 1/3 of Senators are up for re-election.

President: 4 year terms, 2 term-limit. Next presidential election will be Nov. 2008

And incidentally, the elections are on even number years. Always. The elected official takes office in Jan of the following year (i.e. 2009.)

November we will elect a new house of Representatives and a third of the senate. Presidential election will be November 2008. We will be rid of the worst president in the history of the U.S by then. If not before.
