I think that we may never know, Bush has a way about him, anything negative and he hushes it up. We have got bits and pieces of it and I think that they knew something was going to happen but I don't think they knew what. I seem to remember that a report was made by an FBI guy in Minneapolis that one of the terrorist was learning to fly an airplane and didn't want to know how to take off and land. But am not sure this is fact.

I'm sure that Bush got a report about Bin Laden before the attacks...SO DID Clinton....years earlier. Remember when Sudan offered to turn him over to us but Clinton declined the offer?
Of course the "government" knew bin laden was a terrorist, and under the "leadership" of B.J. Bill Clinton, we let him go.

The report was a historical document citing past failed and completed attacks, such as the 1993 attack and an attempted attack in 1998. It did not have any details regarding 9/11. The only people that had details were the people in the Able Danger Military Intelligence Group, and Clinton's security advisor blocked them from doing anything.

They had information that Bin Laden wanted to attack the U.S., but had no specifics and did not have solid and reliable info on his capabilities. He publicly added the U.S. to his target list not to long before the attacks because of the U.S. military presence in Saudi Arabia. Once again I say, don't believe the propoganda crap. Do you really think that if the U.S. has specific info they would have let thousands of Americans die? That is absurd.

The intelligence community apparently had information stating that airplanes were going to be used in some way. They also had information that a few of the hijackers were here for illegal purposes.
Let's not forget that we could have had bin Laden when the Sudan offered him to the Clinton administration.... nobody could figure out how to say "Yes please."
We knew since the early 199's that he had it in for us. He was tried here in absentia for the embassy bombings in Africa.

That it was likely to happen.
But then alot of threats are recieved all the time, so one never knows exactly where.

I think they probably had all the information on hand the problem is with so many different factions mad at the U.S. it is hard to sift through what is just gossip and what is fact.

He may not have known when...but he knew something was going to happen. Instead he choose to stay on vacation for most of his term. Maybe because his brain is on vacation. Always.

not much, just that an attack was possible in the time period of the September eleventh attacks which is not enough information to act upon.
