Some are real, and some use tricks to scam people. I know a woman with a great ability to tell very specific things about a person which couldn't be simply guessed. Way to specific. But then she tells people things about their future which usually don't come true, but she was so specific about their past that people are very happy to give her money. She was undeniably psychic, but she exaggerated her abilities.

Because of my dealings with her, I have always tried to be careful to not exagerate my abilities, and to carefully find ways to verify my own psychic encounters.

As for it being a scam to get money, I certainly haven't given up my day job.

I believe that those that ask you for cash in go back for a psychic studying are scamming you, however I am certain that there are persons hidden away all over the world that experience a few robust capability that do not parade it across the streets. I believe that it is ignorant to believe that every one are scams and all are truly. None people recognize what's on the finish of our universe so who're we to inform you if psychics are truly or now not.

Anyone with true "psychic" awareness does not charge for their services, however, they may take donations. Ultimately, they leave it up to you if you want to drop a few dollars in their lap for the insight. They are firm believers and have worked hard to hone a skill a real "psychic" believes we all posses. If you spend the amount of time working, that a "psychic" spends, you would not need to pay one, real or fake. By the way, most of them ARE phonies and charge alot of money...and most of the time, people will pay them anyway, even when they KNOW they are getting bogus information!!! It's hard to find a real "psychic", even at Lillydale in New York (look up it's history on the Inet...very illuminating and beautiful, nonetheless.)
At any rate, as far as card reading and line reading (tho I am not sure I've ever heard of cheese reading(...someone commented at another Q?) astrology, herbology, plain old mind reading, It takes years and diligence to hone. Of course, when you read the same people over and over, you come to know them and then they become friends, you would never charge a friend to tell them a secret, so how could a real "psychic" charge for a free gift to them? If you want to pay someone big bucks, go see a psychologist to do a similar form of mind reading without the bells and whistles of numerology, astrology, tarot, et al.
Being able to see thru the veil of another person is only a special gift if you take the time to hone your skill. It's not a trick or "parlor game" or an ability to bullshit. Also, a real "psychic" will tell you when they have nothing, or you are being too guarded. How the hell do you charge for NO information?
The ability to "see thru" people is very real. The ability to charge for it is very real. The RIGHT to charge for it is very WRONG!
It's hard to find, but freebies/donation psychics are out there. Word of mouth, I guess.

lol i'll be real with you on this 1. promotional psychics are fake mostly not all but the majority. no1 can predict your future because like a raindrop your life knows exactly where its going even if it's off course. if psychics didn't exist how would the police find the evil minded beings out there. some people can hear the evil thoughts and pinpoint location from what i have heard.

soulmates do exist simply because there is 1 person out in the world that would stay with you forever and ever you just have to put effort into finding that person(like they should you).

i don't believe in twin flames.... so no input there from me.

There are definately some out there that claim to be psychic or "readers" and aren't. But there are many psychics that are true and genuine. I've done personal readings for my family since I can remember. I've never charged and I never plan on it. I've helped many people over the years. I know that I have a gift, so from a personal level I can say yes. John Edward would be a famous psychic that you can see for yourself if you believe. It's all about your personal intuition and what feels right to you.

The fact that you ask the question tells me you're the sort of person they want to meet.

Answer these two questions:

1. If "psychics" can see everything, why don't they win the lottery every time?

2. If psychics don't play the lottery because "they're not in it for the money", then why do they charge people hundreds of dollars for their "predictions"?

to me they seem as generic as horriblescopes in the newspaper.. they all seem to touch on things that can apply to everyone on some fundamental basis, but lack the specific qualities that can differenciate getting lucky with a guess from actually knowing something factual about the future or any given situation..
but there has to be some attraction between the whole supply and demand of it all...
Tarot cards have been around for how many thousands of years? It is a very long lived passing fad.. so there has to be some legitimacy to it?

Well, usually the ones who have the little crystal ball are total scams but i think that pshychics are definatly real. Mostly the ones who use it to find secrets and things. On Discovery channel they have a psychic who found a big area of money. I for one, do believe in pshychics. Here's a page i found. I think its true!

There are *real* psychics. The question is, if you can differentiate the real from the fake.
