If you wish to add music to your ipod that is on your computer, but not in itunes--1. open iTunes 2. Click File 3. Click Import 4. Look In: Choose the file that your music is in, like My Music 5. Open the album that you want 6. click on the file/song that you want 7. click open. This should move music that is already saved on your computer to iTunes.

Once you connect the ipod, its name should appear in your itunes folder. You can drag and drop the songs into the ipod. Or, set the ipod to automatically update when you plug it into the computer.

if your music is already in itunes, then all you have to do is drag your music from your library or playlist to your ipod listed on the left.
one thing you may need to do is go to edit-preferences in itunes, click on the ipod tab and tell it not to automatically update your ipod (unless you want it to ofcourse)
