Glass fusing anyone?

Would you flip if after the first firing, before you stick it in the mold, or stick it in the mold, rough face up? Why? Tell me any neat tricks you know about it. I only did it a few times, but want to make someone a birthday present.

It doesn't matter which way you put it in the mold, just make sure it is clean and hasn't got any kiln wash or kiln paper on it. Make sure you have prepared surface of mold. If you take it to the recomended temp the surface should be smooth when it's finished. Glass is a great medium so much you can do with it. Try different things and have fun.
