If your system can support it, I recommend that you go ahead and upgrade to Windows XP. Microsoft is going to stop support on that Operating System within a few months which means that upgrades, drivers, and tech support for it is going to cease. Besides XP is more stable and is more secure than Windows 98. If you are going to spend the money, go ahead and go for XP.

Also, you can find it for a little more money at some online stores. Go to http://www.pricegrabber.com and search for Windows 98....you should find some items that are under $40. Make sure you pay attention to the details of OEM, 98, 98 Second Edition (SE) and Upgrade so you get what you need. Goodluck!
