Is there anyway I can change the region of the dvd on my computer? The dvd is a region 2 and I need it to be region 1. How do I know if my dvd player is or can be multiregional?

Rip the DVD with something like Smart Ripper, then convert it

It depends on the dvd player some will let you change the regional setting by going into properties. But and its a big one , most will only let you change it a few times like 3 or 4 then you are stuck w that region EVEN if you put it in a differant computer.

computers play any region dvd. if you must watch it on your television, you can either hook your computer up to the television, or...
rip it using a program such as MacTheRipper, then download a dvd burner program, and burn the rip.
Voila.

you will have to download the codec for whatever region the cd is ..
