Well if you are in the position to criticize your friends skills you must oblviously be the man so id say theres really only one thing you can do... take him with you everywhere you go and hope that some of you skills rub off on him. Telling him he sucks would one probably hurt your friendship and two ruin any drive he might have... so be his coach without letting him know it.

Start by playing some games there good at too.......
instead of always basketball...........Try Tennis or Golf ....you can finish 20 th and get payed for it....
Its like being a good looking Meteorologist....
Your good looking so they can't fire you...cause the next one is just as bad at Forecasting...Its WIN WIN

If you care that much, you need different friends. Because if your friends non-athletic ability bothers you so much, than he's not going to be your friend for long.
