It depends on your taste. If you like the teener type, I found What a Girl Wants highly entertaining. Amanda Bynes and Colin Firth share a common bond that is both sweet and amusing. And her management of her evil pseudo-step-sister is a gas.

If you like fairly cerebral romantic comedies, and if you don't mind them a little older, try Same Time Next Year. It's one of those flicks that will have you laughing and crying in the same minute.

I was somewhat dreading seeing 50 First Dates, and I was stunned to find the storyline both compelling and hysterical. The writers had a good idea and executed it perfectly.

My friend recommends How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. She said that Kate Hudson is adorable and Matthew McConnaughey (spelling?) pairs nicely with her.

She also said that the Princess Bride is one of her favorites. The character Indigo Montoya talks so funny.

So there you. Have a ball.

Well, the standard would be "Sleepless in Seattle", though I've always been more fond of the other two Tom Hanks/ Meg Ryan comedies "Joe vs. the Volcano" and "You've Got Mail".

Just about the best one I've seen in recent years, though, and I'm thoroughly male so I'm VERY picky about romantic comedies, was "Kate and Leopold". Hugh Jackman proved he can admirably fill both the romantic and comedy shoes without missing a beat. His performance alone made the movie worth it, and the rest of the movie was pretty good, too.
