DivX is the best player, u can watch movies that some players wont even support

u wont regret it

Divx is a very good program but i don't use it. I recommend staying away from RealPlayer (apologies to hardcore users).

The programs I think may work best for you would be either Media Player Classic (coupled with a good codec pack, such as xp codec pack) or VLC Player. both play dvd files flawlessly and have very simple controls coupled with advanced video and audio tweaking. And both will handle practically every single video file format there is, so no worries.

Windows Media Player or winamp should do it. If it is ripped, just try winamp, find the file on the computer using the play list and see if it will play it.

Try Sonic. It works great. U might have to buy it though hopefully for a low price :-)
