Defenitely 'The door to december'.The two 'odd thomas' books come second.I love his supernatural books better than the murder/mysteries.The characters in door to december are well developed. The little girl in door brought tears to my eyes. That a father would use his own daughter as a lab rat.I hope he'll write more odd thomas books.

Dragon Tears is probably my favorite. The Tick-Tock character kept me on the edge of my seat. Intensity is a runner up. I was really disappointed with the movie version of that. And after that, The Door To December.

I love Koontz too! Cold Fire, Lightning, and Dark Rivers of the Heart all rank up there. I must say that I haven't read every novel so I'm sure they'll undoubtedly be more.

I haven't read very much Dean Koontz, and nothing at all of his in several years, but like some others here, I liked Mr. Murder, and I liked Watchers. Why did I like them?... I dunno, I just though the characters were more memorable, and the pacing of the suspense was better done than in other books of his that I've read.

An "older one" that I wasn't aware of called "From the Corner of His Eye that I just finished reading. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!!!! But to tell you the truth, like Stephen King, I love everything Dean Koontz has done. It really is hard to settle on just one!

Many of Deans earlier books such as Phantoms, Whispers and Strangers were excellent, but he seems to have deteriated in recent years.

I like his older stuff best - Lightning, Watchers, etc. My favorite is Strangers. I loved the attention that was given to all the characters, and the whole government plot.

I loved "The Servants of Twilight" I read A LOT of mysteries and they have to be very skillfully written to mislead me, but this one did. Big surprise ending - never saw it coming.
