I am an african american. My feet are light skinned, while my ankles up to my forehead is darker.

It's probably just because you wear shoes and socks more, so the part over your socks are tan. You're not a mutant freak or anything ;)

It's the same way with white people.. you know you see someone who's been tanning.. the bottom of their feet (from the heel down) is usually lighter... lack of color pigments

Wearing shoes & socks makes this happen. Your feet don't get sunlight inside your shoes, where as your forehead & other body parts do. If you go barefoot for any period of time, your feet will naturally darken up again.

You don't expose your feet to the sun as much as the rest of your body.

Very common with people of color to have different color pigment on there bodies. Depending where you live, try a good tanning on just that area of you body to even things out!

Probably because your ankle up is exposed to the sun more than your feet, because they are covered by your shoes. During the summer months when you wear sandal or open shoes you will find they will darken more.

post a pic and then people can tell you if they find you unattractive or not. basing it on a description is a terrible idea. anyway, look at all the women in history who are adored yet have fair skin. tons of them. best you get comfortable in your own skin cause you're gonna be there your whole life ; )

Don't worry about it. Everyone has that. I'm asian & I have that too. It's just that you wear socks & sneakers more than slippers etc. It's kinna like a tan. It's perfectly normal.

Silly it's because you wear in closed shoes. Try wearing some sandals an tan those girls.
